Thai Airways has revealed the new cabin products which will be offered onboard the airline’s Airbus A380 aircrafts.
The airline unveiled its 507 seat A380, configured with three classes including Business and First Class; the Royal First Class cabin is equipped with 12 seats, whilst Royal Silk is equipped with 60 seats. This is the layout the airline is keeping for their fleet of six A380s; they will receive their first delivery of the A380 aircraft on September 27th.
The layout of the First Class cabin includes a dressing room, a bar and a lounge for passengers to relax and mingle in. The 12 seats in Royal First Class recline to 180 degrees; each seat has a width of 26.5 inches and a pitch of 83 inches. Each seat will also be installed with an in-flight entertainment system which offers each passenger a personal screen reaching 23 inches. First Class passengers can enjoy over 500 albums of music, 100 movies, 60 games and 150 television programmes. First Class passengers can also take advantage of Thai Silk’s on-board mobile connectivity and Wi-Fi.
The 60 seats in Royal Silk – the airline’s Business Class product – also recline to 180 degrees. Each seat has a width of 20 inches and a pitch of 74 inches; the layout of the cabin is staggered to provide each business traveller with adequate room and privacy. Business Class seats are equipped with the same in-flight entertainment system as the First Class cabin; however, each passenger’s screen is smaller at 15 inches. Passengers in Business Class will also be able to connect to the in-flight Wi-Fi.
