This August Qatar Airways is rolling out a new service where premium passengers can pre-select their preferred main course up to 14 days in advance of their flight. First and Business Class passengers will now be able to create a more personalised dining experience when travelling on long-haul flights out of Doha.
The new Pre-Select Dining service is first being introduced on selected flights from Doha to Europe, North and South America, Australia and New Zealand, and will eventually be rolled out to other regions later this year.
Passengers travelling in First and Business Class will be able to pre-select one main course from the à la carte on-board menu, as far as 14 days in advance and up to 24 hours before take-off. They’ll also still be able to take advantage of the existing Dining-on-Demand service already onboard the flight.
To pre-select a premium class meal, customers just need log into ‘My Trips’ on the Qatar Airways website or mobile app and choose from the seasonal menu available on their flight. The ability to pre-select meals means that passengers will now be able to board their flight knowing that their chosen dish is reserved and waiting for them to dine, giving them more time to relax and enjoy the onboard entertainment.
The new pre-bookable meals will compliment the airline’s new super business class experience, which was announced back in March. Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker said:
“Our new Pre-Select Dining service follows the introduction of our groundbreaking Business Class seat, Qsuite, earlier this year, which reinforces why Qatar Airways was recognised as the World’s Best Business Class at this year’s 2017 Skytrax awards. We were also delighted to be named Airline of the Year for the fourth time, encouraging us to continue innovating to offer our unparalleled five-star service.”
In addition to five-star service, Qatar Airways also pampers First and Business Class passengers with amenities from world-class brands such as BRIC’S, Nappa Dori, Monte Vibiano and The White Company. In order to promote a restfull sleep, Qatar Airways supplied premium passengers with pyjamas by The White Company made from 100% cotton. The men’s sleeper suit is designed in a charcoal grey marl, while the women’s suit comes in a contemporary, mid-grey.
