Having been ranked in 2016 as the 6th most punctual airline worldwide, Air France will definitely not disappoint. While flying business class, one thing that will particularly stick with you is their warm and stylish service. Right from the moment you step into the airport for check-in, up until you step off the plane after landing, the service offered to you throughout will definitely be worth writing home about.
The flight attendants are stylish and personable, the business cabin is spacious, comfy and inviting and the culinary experience while aboard the plane will leave your taste buds yearning for more.
Check-in / Airport Services
Finding your way through the airport is a breeze seeing as there are clear SkyPriority signs guiding you from the entrance to the exclusive check-in area reserved for the business class passengers. Check-in may be done via the dedicated counters or through interactive kiosks and you even have the option of having a team member accompany and guide you through the process. Interactive kiosks are particularly convenient when making connections seeing as they make the process as fluid as possible.
Lounges
Those with long layovers will particularly enjoy the relaxing ambiance in the business lounge where you can enjoy escaping the hustle and bustle of the airport. Here, you may opt to enjoy a refreshment, read the newspaper, handle some work on your laptop, or simple rest.
Regardless of the airport in question, whether, London-Heathrow, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Newcastle, Aberdeen or Southampton, the business lounges are all designed to meet the needs of every type of traveler.
Seats
It is only recently – in 2015, that Air France began reconfiguring their business class seating from the seven-across seating style to the current style which is in reverse herringbone configuration. The number of business class seats vary from plane to plane ranging from 10 in the Airbus A320 (320) Caribbean, to 80 in the Airbus A380-800 (380).
The 55cm-wide Air France Business Class seats are leather-upholstered and have a pitch of 155cm. There is the option of transforming the seat into a spacious 2m-long bed, and an added advantage is the seat controls which allow you to find a position that is just right for you. If you are wondering about how comfortable the lie-flat seat is, you will be glad to know that it actually moulds to the shape of your body thus ensuring maximum comfort while sleeping.
The reverse herringbone seat configuration creates a shell shape which in turn creates a shell design perfect for privacy. The business class seat also comes with a flexible armrest to ease movement for those with reduced mobility. As well, there is plenty of legroom.
In-Flight Dining Options
Your culinary experience aboard Air France Business Class is kicked off with a pre-departure beverage whereby you have the option of choosing between champagne and a juice. Subsequent meals are stretched out over several courses which can last over an hour and you get to enjoy all this along with good French service full of charm and executed by attentive crew.
As well, there is also a pre-arrival meal offered right before landing and if you are on a long flight (beyond 2.5 hours), a mini bar will be set up offering a variety of drinks and packaged snacks. You will find that the culinary experience on Air France is delightfully unique.
In-Flight Entertainment
The business cabin on Air France comes with a personal screen and a host of entertainment options which can be viewed even when you are still on the ground. The traveler can choose from a wide variety of movies, Tv shows, games, music etc. There is also an air show and a language-learning program helping you pick up a couple of phrases if you are on your way to France.
If you are more of the reading type, there is a literature pocket with several periodicals. Through the Air France Press App, you also have the option of downloading newspapers and magazines all free of charge.
Suppose your electronic gadget is running out of juice, there are power outlets right next to the seat with both a USB and an empower outlet which accepts a variety of plugs.
Additionally, there is plenty of storage space including a cubbyhole containing branded noise-cancelling headphones and a separate compartment with a closable door. Other storage spaces can be found beneath the footrest and on the sides of the seat.
