There’s a British Airways First and Business Class sale on this week, with big discounts on Business Class and First Class when you book with SkyClub until 7th November. So what can you actually get when you fly with BA? Here we’re going to give you some insight into what’s on offer in the airline’s premium cabins:
What do I get in Business Class?
British Airways Business Class, known as ‘Club World’, makes your flying experience a lot more comfortable, thanks to a comfy chair that converts into a lie-flat bed. There’s also a 10.4 inch flat screen for watching entertainment on demand, along with a personal power supply to keep your electronic devices fully charged. Club World’s dining service includes a three-course meal and on select flights you’ll be able to choose your main meal in advance from the on-board menu.
On specific North America and Middle East flights you can maximise your sleep time with BA’s Club World Sleeper Service, enjoying a night cap before cosying up in your fully flat bed. Just before landing you’ll be served a quick breakfast, giving you enough time to freshen up using your complimentary amenity kit.
Make sure you arrive at the airport with plenty of time, since you’ll want to take advantage of all the amenities on offer, including access to private lounges. If you’re flying from New York JFK or London Heathrow Terminals 3 or 5 you can enjoy a complimentary treatment in the Elemis Travel Spa, ensuring you’ll be truly relaxed before boarding the plane.
Other added advantages of flying Business Class include dedicated check-in desks, priority boarding and fast-track security through Heathrow, Gatwick and JFK. The checked baggage allowance is 2 bags weighing up to 32kg each.
What do I get in First Class?
A First Class ticket is naturally a step up from Business Class, granting you access to the Concorde Room at Heathrow Terminal 5 and New York JFK. This elegant lounge features beautiful chandeliers and intimate private dining booths with full waiter service for that ultra-luxury airport experience.
Once on board the plane, you’ll find your very own spacious suite with a seat that converts into a fully flat bed with quilted mattress, ensuring you’ll get a proper night’s sleep on any long-haul journey. When you’re ready to close your eyes and get some rest, just pull on your soft cotton pyjamas and cosy up beneath the crisp, cotton duvet. Forgotten your toothbrush? From January 2017 you’ll be provided with a new collectible amenity kit designed by iconic British brand Liberty London, containing a mixture of Aromatherapy Associates skincare and well-being products.
Each suite has everything you need in order to catch up on work or stay entertained, including USB ports, a personal power supply and a 15in television screen for watching the latest movies and entertainment. One of the highlights of the First Class meal service is being able to indulge in the British tradition of Afternoon Tea, which features a selection of sandwiches, cakes, pastries, warm scones and a special blend of Twinings tea. Of course you’ll also be treated to a full a la carte meal service, accompanied by award-winning wines, champagnes and spirits.
Other features of British Airways First Class include a complimentary concierge service, a dedicated help desk and a checked baggage allowance of 3 bags weighing up to 32kg each. Take a look at our article on British Airways aircraft types that carry First Class cabins.
