Cathay Pacific Airways revealed their brand new range of both female and male amenity kits yesterday, which will now be available exclusively to Business Class passengers who travel with the airline on-board selected flights. Throughout the month of October, the amenity kits will be progressively introduced and will feature a range of products from the skincare brand Jurlique who are renowned in Australia for offering and creating a variety of natural products. Some of the on-board offerings which will be available in the male and female amenity kits include the brand’s Citrus Hand Cream, Day Cream and Lip Care Balm.
The amenity kit will also feature a number of additional products on top of the Jurlique product range; this will include items such as earplugs, a shoehorn, an eyeshade, a pair of socks and a dental kit. The kits are also eco-friendly and consider the environment in their creation; the shoehorn and the toothbrush available in each of the kits are disposable and are made from cellulose and corn starch – recycle and biodegradable materials that also require less resources to be used in the making of them. The airline has previously expressed a commitment to being a responsible company who are conscious of the effects they may have on the environment. The amenity kits therefore display the airline’ continued efforts to remain environmentally and socially friendly whilst also delivering a luxury in-flight experience to their respected and valued Business Class passengers.
Male passengers travelling in Cathay Pacific’s Business Class cabins can expect their amenity kits to include a Citrus Hand Cream, Lip Care Balm, Balancing Day Care Cream (which will only be available on outbound flights), Moisture Replenishing Day Cream (which will only be available on inbound flights) as well as socks, a toothbrush by agnes b, a shoe horn, earplugs, toothpaste and an eyeshade. For female passengers travelling in Business Class, the amenity kit will contain much of the same products – however, the exceptions are the shoe horn which is not included in the female amenity kit and is only available in the male amenity kits and the addition of cotton pads. All of the products will be available to the male and female Business Class passengers in an exclusively designed pouch by the airline’s long-term partner agnes b.
Toby Smith, Cathay Pacific’s General Manager spoke of the unveiling of the amenity kits, saying: “We are very excited about this collaboration. Jurlique has been investing in natural skincare science for many years and we think they are a great fit with our brand and our desire to provide our passengers with the very best in-flight experience.”
As well as enjoying a luxury travel experience in terms of the products and amenities that are available to business passengers on-board their aircrafts, the new Business Class seat installed in the cabins allows passengers to adjust their seat for privacy and personalised comfort.
Each of the seats has the ability to be moved backwards or forwards for passengers to determine their level of privacy; when seats are forward, passengers can relax in private and complete any work they may have, when they are forward, passengers will have the opportunity to converse with their companions of fellow travellers. The seat position can also be adjusted using a precision toggle; this allows the passenger to adjust the set to their own specific posture of mood. When the seats are reclined and extended, the flat bed measures over 82 inches in length. The extension of the bed also increases the width of the bed by 6.5 inches.
As Business Class passengers may bring personal devices with them on-board the aircraft, they will be able to enjoy an increased amount of personal storage space. Gadgets and glasses can all be placed in the side cabins, as well as any other additional small items, a vanity mirror and a headset. The cabin door also acts as a privacy divider for passengers.
