The First Class cabin that Singapore Airlines operates has been much talked about since its launch; a number of business and leisure travellers have already enjoyed the privilege of travelling in the airline’s First Class cabin, however, many are still yet to experience the exceptional level of service delivered by the airline. The Airbus A380 aircraft that operates with within the airline’s fleet is considered particularly fantastic – with private suites installed in the First Class section of the aircraft and a plethora of amenities, products and services available for passengers to try at their leisure.
One of the newest additions to the First Class product is the amenity kits that have been designed for the male and female First Class passengers. The new amenity kits are part of the airline’s revamp and as they are only offered to First Class passengers (Singapore Airlines do not provide their Business Class passengers with kits) the airline have spared no expense, introducing the ultimate in luxury products. The new amenity kits now feature a range of products designed by Salvatore Ferragamo Parfums. Before these kits were introduced, the amenity kits that were on offer to First Class passengers were packed with products from a number of brands which included Kiehls and Sothys.
The airline have created two amenity kits – differing the products that are offered to the male and female First Class passengers; however, with both amenity kits they have been incredibly generous and even provide passengers with a 30ml bottle of eau de toilette. The amenity kits are visibly different as well – making use of the stereotypical colour co-ordination – blue for men and pink for women.
Starting with the men, the Ferragamo Amenity Kit comes within a wash bag that is made of soft PVC; inside the amenity kit, there are four distinct items by Salvatore Ferragamo from the acclaimed ACQUA Essenziale range. This range focuses on creating a Mediterranean aroma, combining it with woody and breezy notes to create a precious blend that allows passengers to feel refreshed and smelling wonderful as they disembark the aircraft. The amenity kit itself is very useful – providing First Class passengers with enough room in the bag to store their toothpaste, toothbrush, facewash, shaver, deodorant and perfume – perfect for those passengers who may be on a long-haul journey and will be connecting to another flight. Inside the kit, there are also four side pockets and compartments that allow passengers to store their belongings, as well as a compartment which is external. The contents of the bag include the 30ml bottle of Eau de Toilette, 30ml of Hand Cream to keep hands clean and soft throughout the flight; a cleansing towel and lip balm. Anything not in the bag (which is designed to include the Singapore Airlines logo on one side of the bag and the Salvatore Ferragamo Parfums sign on the other side) can be found in the washrooms that are available exclusively on board selected flights.
The female version of the First Class amenity kit on the other hand is a thicker bag in comparison to the male version. It does, however, also contain four items from the popular Eau de Parum range – Signorina. This is a fragrance that interprets the traditional and elegant scent of jasmine and fuses it with an unusual but delicate and delightful pannacotta. The scent is therefore very sweet; nevertheless, it is an exploration of smells that females in First Class may enjoy. The female amenity kit also has four compartments within the actual wash bag providing passengers with substantial amounts of room to store their toiletries. The four items inside the kit are the for both male and female First Class passengers – Eau de Toilette, Hand Cream, Lip Balm and a Cleansing Towel.
