Flying First Class with Virgin Atlantic means that passengers are treated to a priceless experience from the moment they walk through the door. This priceless experience includes a chauffeur who is there to collect each passenger and transport them from their house to the airport at their convenience and ensure that their journey begins in style before they even step foot inside the airport.
The feeling of importance and luxury for passengers grows as they are able to walk through the private security and dedicated check-in gates at Heathrow Airport; this convenient addition to the First Class service means that passengers can breeze through the airport without the typical stress and hassle. Once this stage is complete, First Class passengers can move on to the Clubhouse where the only issue First Class passengers might find themselves with is what area should they spend most time in and what amenity or product should they take advantage of.
First Class in Virgin Atlantic is the way to fly; the airline boast that there is no other service that matches the product they offer to their First Class passengers. Within each First Class cabin there is a First Class seat which measures 22 inches in width in its normal position and transforms to a flat bed at the touch of a button. The comfortable seats are designed to provide each passenger with a great space to rest and relax in – even for those who toss and turn and cannot get comfortable. When each seat reclines, they become some of the biggest that are available in the aviation market. They extend to 6 foot 6 inches and become 33 inches wide; the long bed becomes totally flat to ensure each passenger receives the best sleep they could possibly get. In addition, each seat is easily accessible meaning no passenger needs be disturbed for another one to exit and enter their seat. Every Upper Class suite provides passengers with access to the aisle; if a passenger is travelling with a colleague there is even space for them to travel alongside or simply come over to talk without causing any disruption to anyone other First Class travellers.
On top of this, for passengers who would rather stay awake throughout their flight there are a number of dining options, an in-flight bar and plenty of entertainment available on demand for passengers to choose from. Virgin Atlantic work with expert mixologists to create the perfect cocktail or tipple for any guests who would rather take advantage of the service, and relax in style, than simply sleep whilst travelling on-board the aircraft.
If that’s not enough, the airline also provides each guest with over 300 hours of games, television, films and a Skymap to keep each guest occupied and entertainment throughout their flight. Upper Class passengers on Airbus A340-600, Airbus A330 and Boeing 747 aircrafts will be able to access the entertainment system when on-board the aircraft in the Upper Class cabin. Each suite in the Upper Class cabin is installed with a personal monitor measuring 10.4 inches that the in-flight entertainment can be enjoyed on.
To complement the rest of the service, the airline provides their guests with a number of culinary delights. The new menu in Upper Class is left on each ottoman for guests to read over when flights take off; the new menu is intended to enhance the experience of flying and has been revamped to provide guests with fresh and seasonal ingredients. Previously, the airline served a ‘Freedom’ menu; this has now been replaced by the ‘Graze’ menu which offers a range of cold and hot snacks for guests to order on demand from their seat at any time.
