Irish carrier Aer Lingus has partnered with Google to provide a 360-degree view of its new Business Class cabin. Google took thousands of high-resolution images using a specially rigged DSLR camera, then stitched them together to create a seamless virtual experience.
Those visiting Google street view can also take a look around the Revival Lounge at Dublin Airport and see what it’s like to walk up the stairs from the tarmac and onto the plane.
The airline also introduced a new Business Class Thompson aerospace lie-flat bed on board its Boeing 757 aircraft, which was introduced on the 17th of February on flight EI 135 from Shannon to Boston. By mid-May, 2016, four Boeing 757 aircraft will be fully retrofitted with the Business Class suite.
Passengers crossing the Atlantic are able to stretch out and enjoy a good night’s sleep thanks to a 22-inch wide seat that transforms into a fully lie-flat 6.5ft long bed, with custom made cotton rich duvets and pillows ensuring guests land in the States feeling well-rested and alert. Each seat is also equipped with custom-designed storage, meaning passengers can keep their laptop, phone, tablet and bags within easy reach without feeling crowded. For those who’d like to charge up their devices, there are USB ports and built-in power points with universal sockets. In addition, customers can watch entertainment on 14-inch screens equipped with multi-touch screen controllers.
Customers can fly in this new business class cabin on transatlantic flights, except the 767 Shannon to Boston service. Between 8th June and 31st August 2016 the airline’s Shannon to Boston flights will be on a Boeing 767 aircraft operated by Aer Lingus partner Omni Air International.
Of course if you want to experience the new cabin in person, you can book your business class flights by contacting SkyClub, where your dedicated agent will organise everything for you.
