Alitalia has opened its new Casa Alitalia lounge at Rome Fiumicino’s Pier E – the new boarding area for the majority of Alitalia’s medium and long-haul flights to extra-Schengen destinations.
Alitalia used to operate out of Pier H but moved most of its flights to Pier E when it opened in 2016. The new Business Class lounge replaces the airline’s previous facility at the former Pier H and is decorated in cool neutral tones and contemporary Italian design flourishes.
The design is very similar to the design of Alitalia’s other lounge at Rome Fiumicino, featuring live cooking and bar areas, a dedicated children’s area with games and TV with cartoons, business meeting rooms, Wi-Fi connectivity and showers. For a touch of Italian flair, the airline has introduced large communal tables, open pizza ovens and live cooking stations preparing fresh pasta and Italian cuisine.
Access is complimentary to members of Alitalia Freccia Alata Plus, Freccia Alata, SkyTeam Elite Plus clubs, Alitalia Magnifica and medium-haul business class ticket holders and Alitalia American Express Platinum cardholders flying with Alitalia. Other travellers can also purchase single-entry access.
