KLM is the first airline to order JAMCO’s new “Venture” business-class seat, which is lighter than its predecessor, therefore reducing fuel consumption. For passengers, the fishbone configuration of the new Venture seats ensures more effective utilisation of the available space.
New Business Class Seats
Onboard the new 787-10 KLM has chosen to install 38 World Business Class seats, each with direct aisle access. JAMCO’s Venture seats offer passengers more personal space and comfort, with full-flat seats and large 18.5-inch entertainment screens. The new seats will be KLM-branded and designed in collaboration with Hella Jongerius.
A unique features if the “Do not disturb” button on the armrest, which passengers can turn on and off depending on whether they’d like some privacy. The middle seats also have a movable partition, allowing passengers to chat with their travel companion or raise the partition for maximum privacy.
Established in 1955, the JAMCO Group is a Japanese manufacturer of aircraft interiors, aircraft components, aircraft maintenance, and aircraft seats. The group is a longstanding supplier of Boeing and Airbus and supplies the galleys installed aboard KLM’s long-haul fleet.
