Korean Air has revealed their schedule for this year’s services that will operate the Airbus A380 aircrafts. The airline have previously revealed that ten of the aircrafts will be added to the fleet, with five of the aircrafts being delivered by next year. Korean Air’s A380s will see the entire top deck of the aircraft dedicated to the airline’s Business class travellers.
The new schedule will begin from the first day of June this year. Korean Air will begin operating services to important Business destinations; for example, Tokyo, Seoul and Hong Kong at the beginning of the summer months. The airline’s list of destinations will gradually increase, and expand to Bangkok a month later.
When the third aircraft joins the fleet in the following month of August, the A380 service to New York’s JFK airport will launch, followed by a fourth A380 aircraft, and flights to Los Angeles beginning in October.
The interior of the aircraft will be divided in three classes including Prestige Class and First Class. Economy class will take up a substantial amount of the seats, with 301 seats, First Class will have 12 seats available on the first level, and Prestige Class (business class) will have 94 seats available on the upper deck.
The seats in Business class will be 94 lie-flat sleeper seats. Each seat will be spaced apart by 74 inches, allowing more comfort and luxury for Business travellers.
