London to Get Singapore Airlines’ New Cabin Products

Singapore Airlines has announced that London and Hong Kong will be the next destinations to be operated by its new A380 aircraft, featuring the airline’s latest cabin products. 

SIA’s new cabin products were publicly unveiled early in November and made their debut on 18 December 2017 on the Singapore-Sydney route. There are a total of five brand new A380s being delivered from Airbus, which feature seating for up to 471 customers in four classes, including six First Class Suites and 78 Business Class seats. 

The new First Class Suites feature beds that sit perpendicular to the windows, dressed with two fluffy pillows and a luxury cotton duvet. The beds in the first two suites of each aisle can be joined so two travel companions can sleep side by side, forming a full double bed. Each suite also features a swivelling leather chair and a special storage space with padded compartments for jewellery and other personal items. 

In Business Class passengers can sit back and relax in a pod-style seat that features a “cocoon like” shell, an 18-inch entertainment screen and plenty of work space. The privacy divider between the middle seats can be lowered so that the two neighbouring seats can be joined together to make a large bed – great for couples who are flying together.  

The new A380 will be introduced on the Singapore to London route from 16th February 2018, operating as flight SQ322 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. From 17th February 2018 to 5 April 2018, the A380 will operate as SQ305 on the London to Singapore leg. As of 7th April 2018, the new A380 is scheduled to operate as SQ317 (London-Singapore) on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

From 18 February 2018 to 6 April 2018, the new A380s will also be deployed on services to Hong Kong, operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays as SQ860 (Singapore-Hong Kong) and SQ863 (Hong Kong-Singapore).

From 8 April 2018, the A380s are scheduled to operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays as SQ856 (Singapore-Hong Kong) and SQ861 (Hong Kong-Singapore).
