Lufthansa First Class passengers and Lufthansa Private Jet guests can now spend the interval between their next flights behind the wheel of a unique driving experience. The German airline has collaborated with Porsche to offer premium customers a spin through Munich, the sub-Alpine landscape or lower Bavaria in a Porsche 911 or Panamera.
Passengers departing from Munich or Frankfurt can enjoy the Porsche First Class Excitement experience which is offered to all Lufthansa, SWISS or Austrian Airlines guests as well as to Lufthansa HON Circle members and Lufthansa Private Jet passengers who have for that day a valid First Class boarding ticket.
Executive board member in finance for Lufthansa, Thomas Klurh commented, ‘With Lufthansa First Class, we offer our customers the highest travel quality. This is suitably complemented by the exclusive offer from Porsche, which turns the waiting period before take-off into a memorable experience.’
Reservations can be made in the First Class Lounge with a Lufthansa First Class Personal Assistant who can also arrange car rentals. The sports cars can be booked online prior the passenger’s flight or an instant booking can be made if the desired offer is available.
The Porsches are supplied through Lufthansa partner Avis at an exclusive rate of €99 for three hours which covers 150km and fuel. Any extra distance is charged at €1 per kilometre. A full 24-hour rental option is also available starting from 200km at €304.
After zipping around Munich, passengers are taken back to the airport then transported airside by limousine right beside the aircraft in the apron position. Onboard, customers are treated to cuisine by famous chefs and a selection of premier wines to complement it and the seat, which folds out into a two-metre long fully-flat bed, finishes the luxury travel experience.
