Etihad passengers can now look forward to using the much anticipated ‘spectacular’ First Class Lounge due to open in Abu Dhabi in May of this year.
The flagship lounge will be located in Terminal 3 of the dedicated Etihad International Airport and will be exclusively offered to Etihad’s First Class Guests, Etihad Guest Platinum and Etihad Airways Partners Platinum guests. Customers travelling in The Residence onboard the airline’s Airbus 380 will also be invited to enjoy the new facilities.
Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Baumgartner is certain of the lounge’s imminent success, stating: “The new First Class Lounge in Abu Dhabi will be the jewel in the crown of our ever-growing global lounge portfolio, a showcase of intelligent design and innovation, and the world’s best premium airport experience. We are confident that it will deliver a product and service which is as highly acclaimed as it is inflight and look forward to unveiling its many unique features with great pride.”
The lounge will take up 1, 044 square feet of space and its state-of-the-art amenities will cater for 134-person capacity. The design marries Arabian elements of the UAE’s capital with Etihad’s world-renowned penchant for luxury.
In the meantime, until the new lounge is open, First Class passengers travelling through Terminal 3 will have the Premium lounge available to them.
The new Abu Dhabi First Class Lounge is yet another investment in the Gulf carrier’s commitment to its premium customers, with products like The Residence and First Apartment already setting precedence in the world of luxury air travel.
