Global airline alliance, SkyTeam, has officially opened its exclusive airport lounge at Hong Kong International Airport today. It is the fourth of the SkyTeam lounges around the world and is offered to First and Business Class passengers as well as to Elite Plus members flying on all 12 member airlines which serves the airport.
The facility, which consists of 1,000 square metres and seats up to 230 passengers, has been designed with high-end amenities on offer. Located in Terminal 1 near Gate 15, highlights include a Yoga room, noddle bar, but the centrepiece is a botanical ‘Living Wall’ which comprises of more than 50 different plant species.
SkyTeam’s Managing Director, Michael Wisbrun commented, “Our goal is to invest in shared facilities at airports around the world in order to deliver a consistently high level of service to our members’ customers as well as creating synergies for our members at airports served by multiple SkyTeam airlines. This exclusive lounge will provide a relaxing environment for passengers in which to unwind before catching their next flight.”
Keeping it uniform across the other airports in London Heathrow, Istanbul Ataturk, and Sydney International, other features include work stations with iMac terminals, numerous charging points, complimentary Wi-Fi, shower facilities, a hot and cold buffet that includes international cuisine, and a well-stocked bar with an extensive range of beverages. There is also a VIP room and six productivity booths within the main seating area.
Airlines that are members of the SkyTeam alliance which serves Hong Kong International Airport are: Aeroflot, Air France, China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Vietnam Airlines and Xiamen Airlines.
The SkyTeam Exclusive Lounge in Hong Kong is open daily between 05:30 and 01:00. The twelve SkyTeam Alliance members jointly offer over 183,000 seats every week from Hong Kong International Airport.
