Qantas Airlines First Class
Qantas is a privately owned company that was founded after World War 1 in the 1920, in the early days of consumer flight travel. They are Australia’s national flag bearing, premier airline. The airline is known in its home country as “The Flying Kangaroo”. Their headquarters are in a little town in Sydney called Botany Bay. Their main departure terminal is located at Sydney Airport. In 2008 Skytrax rated Qantas as the sixth best customer service airline on the map. The second oldest airline in existence continues to make its countrymen and clients proud. Some might recognize the name as being an acronym for Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Service. This vintage airline has been through the good times and bad times, as well as surviving many recessions over its 90 years.
Flying First Class with Qantas Airlines
Flying First Class with Qantas comes with many luxuries and advantages for customers. Qantas has taken its Business Class, and expanded it into a first rate experience for those seeking to fly with Australia’s flag ship company. Dedicated check in gives “First” customers the advantage of checking in up to 60 minutes before boarding, you are then directed to the Business lounge or First lounge – depending on location. There you can sit and enjoy the expansive view outside, grab a pre-flight beverage while listening to music – or watching some TV. The lounge offers luxury meals, designed by famous Australian chef Neil Perry, or just a snack to keep you going until you board your flight.
Once you board the pampering doesn’t end: a roomy personal space is provided, with a seat that stretches to 6′ 6″ down into a full flatbed. A full service dining lounge is available to Qantas First Class customers flying on short and long-haul flights. Canapes are followed by and entree, then a choice of 12 elegant meals of your choosing. Wine, hard liquor, beer, gourmet coffees and espressos, along with tea in all varieties are all part of the service.
