The British Airways Dreamliner can be found on flights out of London Heathrow to destinations such as Toronto, Newark, Austin, Hyderabad, Chengdu and Philadelphia. BA’s 787-8 offers 35 seats in Club World Business Class, featuring a spacious suite for working and relaxing and a comfy seat that converts into a fully lie-flat bed. Business Premier on Air New Zealand’s Dreamliner is equipped with a soft chalk leather lie-flat bed and an ottoman footrest that doubles as guest seating. The seat flips over to reveal a horizontal bed surface with a separate memory foam mattress, two pillows and a duvet. Seats are a spacious 22” wide and can be adjusted to any position for taxi, take-off and landing. In bed mode- the width is 33” at the shoulder and 79” long. There’s a large table for dual-dining and an 11” screen entertainment system with premium headphones, in-seat power and USB connection.
You can dine on fresh, innovative meals created by top Chef Peter Gordon and if you’d like to eat with your travel companion, you can use the Ottoman to create a table for two. French champagne and nibbles are served before dinner and you can pair your meal with one of the airline’s award-winning New Zealand wines. United Airlines is the first North American airline to fly the 787 Dreamliner. The 36 BusinessFirst seats recline into a 6’6” fully flat bed and offer in-seat power outlets at every seat. There are four air conditioning units per row, which is double the amount on a conventional aircraft. Since the 787 also flies at a lower cabin altitude, the human body absorbs 8% more oxygen into the blood, meaning you’re less likely to experience headaches and fatigue. Meanwhile, unique electro chromic shades dim the windows without having to use pull-down shades.
Business Class benefits include a pre-departure beverage service, complimentary amenity kit, complimentary duvet and pillow, 15.4 inch entertainment system, laptop power source and USB port, noise-reducing headsets and complimentary newspapers.
