Royal Brunei Airlines is owned by the Government of Brunei. Its headquarters are at the Brunei International Airport, Berakas, just to the north Bandar Seri Begawan which is Brunei’s capital city. Royal Brunei Airlines took its first flight in April 1975, with a flight originating Brunei International, and ending in Singapore. Brunei is the owner of a record breaking Boeing 767. The plane flew 17 hours and 54 minutes on its way to delivery in Brunei – originating from its production home in Seattle and making it all the way to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya. The company plans to expand its service, purchasing wider bodied planes, at a steep price of 400 million dollars before 2013. They offer international flights, and currently have 10 planes in the air, with another 4 of the wide-body planes on order. Royal Brunei Business Class are always striving to live up to their “Royal” name.

All Business Class members all check in at dedicated express check in counters. Online check in is allowed if their business customers find that more of a convenient option. Royal Brunei Business Class seats extend to a 75 inch flatbed when reclined, and are outfitted with plush cushions, and ergonomic armrests. The seats feature a personal pull up screen to give customers extra privacy, and have an in-seat power connector with a 10.4 inch Television. All the entertainment options available include 60 on demand programs including movies, television programs, movies, and music. A mini bar is outfitted at each seat location, and the in air lounge is always open to first class and business class customers. If you have work to do while on flight power stations for your laptop are included with your seat, along with sound-blocking headphones to keep the noise out while you concentrate. Royal Brunei is the second best provider of in-flight entertainment and audio equipment, according to the World Airline Entertainment Association.
The airline also features a signature magazine called the “Muhibah”. Its published six times a year, and is exclusive to the airline. Once you leave the plane you are quickly led to your baggage, and allowed to get to your meetings.
