Qatar Airways Extends Pre-Select Dining Service

Qatar Airways has decided to extend its Pre-Select dining service, which allows First and Business Class passengers to pre-order meals before their flight. The service will now be available to customers flying long-haul to Africa and Asia, joining Europe, the Americas and Australasia.

Following the successful introduction of the Pre-Select Dining service back in August, Qatar Airways has decided to extend the service to more long-haul routes from Doha. 

First and Business Class passengers are able to pre-select one main course from the à la carte on-board menu, from 2 weeks in advance up to 24 hours before take-off. This is in addition to the Dine-On-Demand service, which allows them to order food at any time during their flight. 

All they need to do is log into  ‘My Trips’ on the Qatar Airways website and choose from the seasonal menu available on their flight. Meals can also be ordered through the Qatar Airways mobile app.

This gives even more of our First and Business Class passengers the opportunity to pre-select their meals before they fly and is a highly-valued enhancement to our already unrivalled onboard experience. It also reinforces why we were recognised as the Airline of Year at this year’s 2017 Skytrax awards, motivating us to continue innovating to offer our unparalleled five-star service.”

The news comes shortly after the launch of the new Qatar Airways Business Class experience, Qsuite, which allows neighbouring passengers to convert their seats into a double bed. First and Business Class passengers can now board their flight in the comfort and knowledge that their pre-selected dish is reserved and waiting for them whenever they are ready to dine, giving them more time to relax, sleep and enjoy the airline’s onboard entertainment.
